The Effycom Group is a group of companies mainly consisting of subsidiaries in the entertainment industry, with other companies involved in tourism and investment. Founded by Ethel Gondwe in 2009; the first company established before the formation of The Effycom Group was Effycom Productions, which initially launched with a singular aim to brand, develop and manage music artists. Today Effycom Productions is a multi-award winning branding, marketing and management company specialising in not just the above mentioned but graphic design, web design, videography, directing and much more.
The ethos for The Effycom Group is to establish innovative companies that will have a great impact in today’s ever-changing world of information technology, public opinion and next generation interests. Fuelled with a creative outlook to life and work; the CEO of The Effycom Group is one not to shy away from a challenge and what better challenge is there than to venture into unchartered territory. This type of out of the box thinking has placed The Effycom Group in a position to launch a publication; The Global Zambian Magazine, establish the first ever Zambian Music Charts, the first ever Zambian Movie Charts under Zambian Movies, Queen Of Zambia UK (now rebranding as EU), a pageant that solely focuses on the contestant’s cultural heritage with an aim to empower them based on their skills, demeanour and work ethic. Other establishments currently under construction and slowly making their way into the public forum are; The first ever Zambian online TV channel TGZ TV, which is set to launch before the end of the year, ElHry Clothing & Household Accessories, The Cypher Clash hip hop TV competition, Zambian Videos, Under Privileged Films, My Teen Zone, Global Travel and Tour Adventures, Give Back, Give With Heart, and many more.
The Effycom Group is not only solely focussed on creating and developing its own brands, but stretches its arms to embrace change and the art of the collaboration. This is where companies like Word Out Hip Hop, New African TV, and ZeeMusic come in. Being able to collaborate with other establishments creates a wider demographic for The Effycom Group companies to reach out to, and it reinforces a brand loyalty within the industry that is very much needed in aid of the growth of the companies, the creation of employment and the growth of an effective community.
